DC was offered tuition covered at U of Arizona. We know some happy kids there, plus Tucson is a great town and a true change in scenery and culture.

My DS got merit at all or most of his schools - the trick is to apply to schools a bit below what you could just barely get admitted to - safeties for you will give you money.

Daughter got $24 from Scranton. The Jesuit colleges can be generous.

I know of multiple full rides given to Assumption University in MA, including my niece who studies nursing and philosophy there.

Congrats!!

Similar amounts from similar schools with a similar GPA... Dd felt bad she didn't apply to Loyola, kept sending us stuff.

Oh and he didn't submit test scores. They've been TO for many years. He's doing well as a freshman there.

I also have a DC at Loyola Maryland. DC was awarded a similar Merit Award. DC is currently a junior and has had a very good experience.

Go to niche direct admit and have your kid put in their stats. You will get a bunch of merit aid offers from a bunch of schools.

Ditto, and similar for slightly higher ranked schools TCU and Gonzaga, albeit with a test score over their 75th percentiles.

Caveat, many schools are raising tuition significantly, though perhaps unsurprisingly considering inflation.

Does anyone have any great merit stories? Preferably not super star students, just good students who got merit at non-top schools.
