Subject: Help with dressy outfits for tween/teen who won't wear dresses
My teen got a silky looking camisole from lulus in a jewel tone that she wears with dressy black pants and jewelry for fancy. Obviously would need a cardigan or shawl for temple.
I was at a bar mitzvah recently and a girl was wearing a fabulous velvet blazer that looked great too.

If she's attending the service, please cover bare shoulders and cleavage with a shawl or bolero jacket. Some temples don't let in women wearing pants so you might want to check first

I’m the PP that asked if she was girly. My DD is not. She would wear black pants with a boys/men’s nice shirt. Poss even a blazer and tie. She wears earrings though. 🤷♀️

I'd say she's not girly, so she doesn't like the idea of blouses or frilly tops. I think we'll do some sort of suit for her Bat Mitzvah (need to find something young and fun), but she would want something less formal for the others that she attends.
I like the idea of a jumpsuit, but not sure she will. I'll show her the ones that have been shared. Thanks!

Does she not wear dresses/skirts because she’s not girly? Or just doesn’t like them? If it’s a girly thing she won’t want a girly too either, so look at maybe small men’s dress shirts.
If she’s girly and just doesn’t like dresses/skirts you can do a more feminine top.

A dressy button down shirt. If most events are in the evening it could be black too. Otherwise pick whatever color she likes.
