OP I don’t think any closure is going to be able to stand in a puddle. If you want to stand in a puddle you have to have a pull on boot.

Most of the time when there’s snow you don’t have to stand in a puddle so people want more insulation and a closure - zippers, whatever.

I have had my spells since college in the 90s and they kept my feet dry yesterday

How long have you had your Sorels? I’ve had the Joan of Arc waterproof ones for nine years and they have truly been waterproof.

I’m not waiting around for a bunch of old hags to make French toast so they can put bread bags on their feet. I’ll use Acme bags like a normal person. Save me the last Tab in the fridge. I need it for a mixer when I get done shoveling.

Everyone who grows up where this is actual snow and snow melt knows that you ALWAYS put bread bags on your feet and then your snow boots.

Yes, you have to fight your family (kids, spouse, etc) for them and there will be blood.

Mom? I didn't know you were on DCUM!

It's not 1985 anymore, Sharon.

Listen Denise-- I got the bags and Stacey got the others. Don't be all mean about it. There is RC in the fridge. Just grab one and watch some Moonlighting or Falcon Crest then we can switch out the bags.

I love my Sorel boots but they aren't completely waterproof. I stepped in a large puddle of melted snow and the water seeped through the boot. So, who can recommend their snow boot that is completely waterproof? Thanks!
