You need a policy. If MCPS usually does a Saturday call, that could work, or maybe OPM does?

I would cite MCPS and cancel. Make sure you pick something to follow going forward and communicate it to everyone.

Cancel and say that t=you are following the local govt’s plan as you do not live near the place and cannot ensure their safety, as you have no way to know if the local roads and sidewalks and safe and treated.

You should cancel right away, so parents aren't waiting around until the last minute.

Just trying to see if it’s reasonable or not for me to hold my music class for families in the morning. It is a mommy and me class. The building I rent from has staff that is out today so I might have to come early and check conditions of the sidewalk and steps into the space. It’s in Bethesda area but I live in SE DC so not going up to check. If you had young kids, would you bring them to a class in a studio tomorrow morning before noon? Or would you be annoyed if the teacher canceled the classes? I gather some of the families live within the neighborhood and can walk. Just worried about icy sidewalks and roads .
