Have the 2025 plug-in Sportage hybrid, PHEV. Love it, no regrets.

Bumping this thread. Looking at the Hybrid version in the next year or two. So far the reviews are pretty good but DH is a “Toyota or Die” guy and is concerned it wouldn’t be good for long trips maybe 2x a year to visit family. We’re considering it because it’s less expensive and hits the sweet spot size-wise between a Rav (too small) and Highlander (too big).

My friend is very happy with his. It's too big for me as I drive in the city 99% of the time.
I need Mazda CX-30. I'd also rather go with Japanese than Korean.

No. it was a new model. I actually think they are pretty nice looking and I have driven German cars for the past 20 years, but it definitely gave me pause.

🤣🤣🤣
Really??!

Because Kia’s are not known for being the most solid vehicles - they are known for being cheaply made.

We just bought a (gas) 2024 Sportage SX Prestige. Love everything about the car but the engine is very lacking in power. The hybrid version is apparently better in that respect but we bought it primarily as a 3rd car for our daughter so that lack of acceleration is actually probably not a bad thing.

My family has two Kia (K5 and a Sol) and we love them both - easy to drive, great gas mileage, not a lot of repairs.

Does anyone have a new one? I have loved my Kia Sorento but it is now 16 years old and am thinking of getting something smaller. I know some people have had bad experiences with Kias but I have loved mine. Thanks for sharing the good and the bad!
