I’ve been using the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin balm and have had pretty good results. I have super oily skin and have also tried a ton of brands everyone seems to swear by for oil control that never work for me. I like that it provides light coverage like a skin tint but is more matte (but not “flat” looking or cakey) and is long lasting on me. I use the universal shade as a primer and then layer a tinted shade on top to even out my skin tone and provide some coverage.

It has upsalite in it, which is a new ingredient that is supposed to provide superior oil control throughout the day without drying out your skin. So far, it seems to be doing the trick for me. I do use a setting powder (Ben Nye Neutral Set or NARS crystal powder) when it’s really humid out and I want my makeup to last all day. There’s actually a setting powder with upsalite in it by LH cosmetics that I’m interested in trying to see if that gives even better results.

I've tried a lot of these and here is my take.

EL Double Wear- this stuff is great for a color match and lasting all day. However it is a very full coverage product and can leave you looking cakey and flat. Requires a lot of blush/bronzer to make you not look dead.

Nars Radiant- excellent stuff. This is my go-to. It doesn't have much lasting power though, so requires a setting spray/powder.

Mac Studio Fix- old school staple, but same issues as EL

I use Estee Lauder Double Wear. Definitely more medium than light coverage but I like that to cover my redness from rosacea.
I have also used MAC Studio Fix and recommend that as well.

Nars radiant is good. Mine isn’t the “long wear”, but a lighter coverage and it’s really nice.

For a really matte finish (but not drying) I love No. 7 “Airbrush Away”. For a moisturizing foundation, the No. 7 “Protect & Perfect Intense” is not as shiny as most.

If you want Sunscreen, Colore Science Sunforgettable tinted matte sunscreen is great (and recommended by my derm). I use the Colore Science Sunforgettable tinted powder sunscreen to reapply during the day.

I use IT Cosmetics matte and Kosas Revealer -- the Kosas Revealer is expensive though because you have to throw it out after a month or two.

I mix Tarte Amazonian Clay moisturizer with my preferred BB/CC cream (IT Cosmetics) to mattify it a bit. The foundation is a bit too much coverage on its own (for me, at least)

Maybe try the Cicapair green stuff. It’s green in the jar but it’s just a gimmick - it’s beige. Like a light/medium beige.

Ok, you guys solved my first problem last week so I'm back.

Last week I was in search of a moisturizer that wasn't shiny on my face (wet, greasy shiny, not dewy and cute, I swear). Someone recommended a gel moisturizer. I immediately bought the Neutrogena one, and have been using it all week and it's magical.

Now I need a foundation/ tinted moisturizer (light to medium coverage) that isn't shiny. Please don't tell me that dewy is in - my face looks WET, not dewy.

**What is it that makes the gel moisturizer a good fit for me, and does that exist in foundation? **
