Everything tastes a little less good to me on semaglutide. I was surprised that I only want one coffee in the morning instead of two or three. I have no desire for alcohol at all. It also really affects my desire for quantity. I used to love eating large salads for lunch and now I can’t imagine putting back that much food. It’s really been a miracle drug for me.

Saying no to fats

Post 01/19/2024 22:28     Subject: Semaglutide/food aversion

I have the food aversion, especially to fats. Cheese leaves kind of a greasy taste in my mouth. I find that I want to eat bread, like a turkey sandwich, and I usually would rather eat a slice of cheese, so it seems like my body is saying to fats.

I like most everything still but I just want way, way, way less of it and flavors seem kind of dulled too, like less enjoyment, which is fine; I’ve enjoyed food enough for one lifetime. I don’t want sweets either. The only bad thing is that I also don’t want to drink as much water.

It's a lot to lose 4 lb in the first week. I did not have food aversions, I did have a little bit of stomach upset very temporarily. I started on the lowest dose .25 mg

.25 mg as well. My stomach is not upset at all, but I am just much much less hungry.

Where did you find .25? Every pharmacy is out!

I’ve been getting .25 Ozempic for months with no problem from cvs.

CVS where? Please let me know! Ones I have called do a search in their database within 20 miles and say no one has it.

I am doing it through Ivim and got a 3-month supply (semaglutide).

If you lose too much in a week you can get gallbladder attacks and have to get it removed this happened to my friend.

Your body will adjust, I wouldn’t stress about it. Just eat healthy with foods that you want for the moment.

Things will change week to week. Fruit turned out to be one of my favorite things because it’s light. And I’ve never been a big fruit person. I did lose my taste for wine. Be sure to drink a lot of water!

Maybe it's just an adjustment period. You could try fruit smoothies if you want to get some fruit and vegetables in? I think the aversions will level off though.

You lost 4 lbs in a week and you just started?

I started a week ago and it is going well generally, I've lost 4lbs, I eat so much less, but vegetable and fruit are sort of blah to me now, and yogurt tastes like fish? Did anyone else have that? I usually end up having protein like chicken breast or a thin steak and one piece of fruit or a carrot, a small sandwich with meat/cheese and that's it.
