DP. Nice, but at least we cannot afford anything at that store. YMMV

Pottery Barn used to be much better made than Target. Now? Not sure.

I love my Target curtains. I did have to hunt around to get 4 panels in one place. Mine have a substantial lining and the tabs on the back. They look great. These are the ones I have. I would have trouble paying more than this for curtains because I think they are nice.

It depends what you want. I got velvet blackout curtains from Target recently and they look great and I for my purposes they checked all my boxes at a fraction of the cost of elsewhere. But I wasn't looking for details like interlining or pinch pleats or anything -- they are basic curtains with round grommets at the top for hanging. I probably did have to buy an extra panel than I might have if I'd gone to PB to get the amount of fullness and coverage I wanted, but at less than $30 per panel, that was still more affordable.

Also my cat will cover the bottoms in cat hair no matter how vigilant I am about cleaning/defuzzing them, so I'd rather get something less expensive since I'll have to replace it sooner. Maybe when my cat passes I'll upgrade, but it's not worth it right now.

Target has lots of stuff o love but curtains are not one of them. If you want pinch pleats and hooks, you won’t find them at target (at least, last I looked).

PB and Target have long had home style similarities. I have things I bought 20 years that I saw in a PB catalog that Target sold. Those JOY stocking holders come to mind.

Ikea or used at Unique if you get lucky.

the main thing that makes them cost more is:

Lining
Pleats (so more fullness)
Interlining (I don’t think PB has this option but Target definitely won’t)
Buckram at the top so you can support hooks for curtain rings

When I last looked at pottery barn you could get nice panels with lining and buckram at the top for hooks. That was a while ago though. I don’t think Target has panels that nice but maybe they do online.

Our sheers are from
ikea, but our linen blackout curtains are from pottery barn. Depending on what you are looking for, just compare the fabrics.

Truly?? How do you know this? I have PB curtains. They’re quite substantial. I’m not sure PB sells a product as weighty and structured.

I just had curtains made and it was cheaper than pottery barn. I bought fabric off Etsy and they are beautiful and heavy plus I got to support a local business.

No. They’re all manufactured in the same types of places, and just have a different label put on them. You’re paying for the name of Pottery Barn.

Are white linen curtains from Pottery Barn that much better than white linen curtains from Target?
