I had a not so surprise party for my husband on his 30th birthday. The invite went to a ton of friends and I said bring plus 1’s. Well, one invite brought an old BF of mine whose name my husband had heard and he had seen pictures of him but never met. I didn’t know he was coming. My husband walked into our tiny kitchen and recognized the guy. He said, are you Richard? (yes, his name) and R said yes, and my husband said something like “you blew it!”.

Aww congrats OP this is an improvement over the near constant trolling on this forum. I remember the first time I saw DH: I was 16 and he was so handsome and had the most beautiful eyes and the most charming smile. We’ve been driving each other crazy ever since!

I just need to gush s little. DH is turning 40 in a few weeks and I'm throwing a party for him. Part of the party will include a little slideshow so I'm getting pictures ready for that. Goin through the pictures it's really hitting me that we've known each other for half our lives.
It really seems like just yesterday two dorky 30;year old kids just happened to start talking to each other walking back from the campus library , and became best friends.
I can't believe how fast 20 years has gone by! So much has happened.

I still feel so lucky to have his dorky adorable self in my life. He still is my best friend and really there's no one else I'd rather hang out with.

That and I've also realized the dude wears the exact same outfit to every wedding we've ever attended and poses the exact same way in every picture 😂
