I see plenty of Canada Goose. I think they’re high quality and functional, but we just don’t need that level of warmth here in the DC area. I agree about Moncler, I’ve always associated it with conspicuous consumption and people who don’t know what they’re looking for/just buy it because it’s more expensive.

You can pry my Canada Goose out of my warm dead hands. I don't wear it in DC though!

OP. This is funny because I’ve always been an Eddie Bauer parka girl. I wanted something a little more stylish.

I have 2 (the Kay and another shorter one) and they are amazing. I suspect you got a lemon.

I’ve owned several Mackage coats over the years and never had an issue with quality. That said, I think there is a difference in quality among some of their coats. The heavy wool coats are high quality as is my heavy parka. Definitely them to see what can be done. Good luck!

I had a mackage coat but it was very heavy & warm — suitable for canada or great lakes. I sold it on RealReal

After a lot of research, I just splurged on a Mackage down coat. It’s a light weight parka, so good for weather like we’re currently having in the DMV.

I’ve worn it once for a walk around my neighborhood. Today I went to put it on and noticed a small tear in one of the sleeves. I’m so upset! I haven’t been rough with it at all.

I reached out to them to see if they can repair or replace it, but wanted to see if anyone else has experience with this brand and their customer service. Is the quality not great? Or did I just get a defective product? Really wishing I had bought through Nordstrom because at least I’d know they’d take it back.
