Unfortunately they probably will be closed, because the “Richest County in the U.S.” can’t get its back roads plowed in 36 hours. So everyone gets another day off.

That was last year and yes we suffered through a winter with no snow days as our comeuppance. He won his court case though so we’re back in business

In my experience as an LCPS parent and teacher, there are very few times they offer “may close” and don’t end up closing. Usually if they know they won’t switch they don’t add that caveat. If they do, they know it’s likely to be bad in the morning but they don’t want to look like they canceled too early.
Agree with all of this, especially the bold. I've been an LCPS parent for 11 years.
There was one time they said may change and didn’t and I was in such disbelief that I remember it to this day lol. I am about 75% sure it’ll switch to a close around 6:30 am. The refreeze and unplowed side streets and bus stops won’t be better by 9 am when the youngest one are out even on a delay day.
