Yes, I used to be friends with someone who was part of a large ponzi scheme. He went to jail and I did not want any contact with him after that.

Yes he did 5 years in Otisville NY, and was quite appalled to be surrounded by so many brown and black people.

Universal Truth, show me a white man who is investigated, tried, convicted, and sentenced for a White Collar crime and I will show you someone who is a complete and utter unredeemable a#@hole who kicked a lot of people on the way up, probably on the way down too, and 100% had it coming and still got off lite.

Yea I know one of the “wolfs of wall street” bankrupted the us. Living large..

If you think you don’t know someone you just don’t know you know someone.

They just pay their fines a small % of the $ they stole and move on with life.

Yes, dermatologist, now retired, was convicted of felony tax evasion. I totally believe it too. He was so shady.

I feel like there is too much leniency with these types of crimes. These are the people who should suffer for what they do and instead they seem to come out the other side as good as before and sometimes better.

Yes, really good friend of my brother's. Embezzled $350,000+ from bank/employer and went to prison for, IIRC, 9 years. My brother went to visit him a few times. He's long been out and I don't know what he's doing now.

Yesss! Reminds me of FL Governor. Medicare Fraud. Scumbag who should never be rid of the taint. Why is he governor?

"TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Rick Scott is used to being attacked for the historic $1.7 billion Medicare fraud fine slapped on his former hospital company. But in a new twist, he’s trying to turn his weakness into a strength by accusing his opponent of “stealing money from Medicare.”"

"he took responsibility for the wrongdoing at Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp. 20 years ago. This year, Scott says “I refuse to apologize for my success.”"

Yes. They did something very bad with those payday loans. Bankers. Despicable upon despicable. I'm sure the story is public somewhere. Another acquaintance got called to jury duty for the case but obviously was dismissed.
