OP back to report. I'm just now starting to feel a little less groggy from this stuff. My entire day was wasted. Never again. Thanks to everyone who provided helpful responses.

Omg yes. The NyQuil hangover is the worst. I had better results with theraflu, though I had to add stuff to make it taste not-horrible. (Syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.)

Maybe try a half dose next time, if you must.

PP here. FYI, if nasal congestion is the big concern, pseudoephedrine is very effective and doesn't disrupt my sleep. If you have a cough that is keeping you up, you might want your doctor to prescribe cough syrup with codeine. I have found that effective and doesn't leave me groggy the next day.

I am like you. My doctor suggested I take children's version and only 1/2 quantity. Still have the hangover. So I ever don't take it, or use the following day to sleep it off. Because I can't function safely on it.

I get this too and so, if I can manage it and am not too sick to need the full dose, I only take 1/2 a nyquil.

Thanks PP. Yes I'm a lightweight when it comes to alcohol so I should have taken a half dose. ugh. Trying to get through meetings today has been challenging.

Yes I have a cold, but no it's not cold symptoms I'm feeling right now. I feel like I'm floating, my brain is foggy. Anyhow thanks.

How in the world do I get rid of this! I took NyQuil last night, I slept through the night which is great but now I can't function. I've had coffee, two bottles of water, a hydration packet....and I still feel like I'm floating and head is full of cotton if that makes sense. I need to get on with my day any other ideas??
