Gw parkway is closed when it snows because I almost spun into the river on ice some years ago ever since, its been closed in the snow. Bow, curtsy, plié.

GW parkway has been closed since this morning, so not sure why you're "prattling" on about it being "bright red".

We drove from Vienna back to DC at 4 pm today and the roads were icy all the way home, on 495, 66, 50 and local roads in DC. All the same.

I don't get it. I was out driving today and didn't have any issues. The roads weren't perfect but it wasn't undrivable.

City of Alexandria didn't treat the roads either cars in ditches and spinning out too. Fairfax and Arlington got it together though.

DC and Alexandria FAIL.
