"workbook" is the Excel term, and the files are divided into sheets.

The monitor is how you see documents and spreadsheets. You don't need a tremendously sharp picture to see text or numbers, but if you were working on graphics, you probably would.

This is the one that I bought and it’s worked well for me. I think a key thing is the size - you want it to be large enough to be useful, but you should think about how you will be transporting it too.

Why are you putting worksheet in quotes? I assume OP means spreadsheets.

OP - I'm the ViewSonic person. When I asked some more tech savvy friends the same question, they all basically said that any monitor is going to be fine for those needs. Most said to get whatever's cheapest on Amazon - I spent about $30 more than that to get one with a brand name I recognized.

I work on a MacBook Air and apparently there is no second monitor that you can use with one of those, where you can do a touchscreen. That's really my only complaint - I'd like to be able to use it as a touchscreen.

But even when I hook up my iPad to my computer as a second monitor I can't use the touchscreen, so that's not a fault with the monitor, it's a limitation of my computer.

Anyway, the ViewSonic has been good for calls, editing docs, looking at spreadsheets. It's been really fine, and it's very lightweight, too.

I'd love to have a second screen when I'm traveling but still need to work.

Any recommendations? Is an inexpensive one fine?
