(To explain): Brother = parent.
Niece = young person
It’s not black and white and easy to categorize so just keep that in mind. This list has a great narrative about this flip flop path. So detailed it could not be made up. There are Tons of different paths and experiences.

There is a lot of gender fluidity. I have watched my older brother get disappointed when the switch back happen.
It has to do with the experiences of Gen X, I think. I am much younger than my brother.

I don’t know any teen who isn’t figuring out their sexuality right now. It’s a very open process these days. (Good for them!) I think the therapists are booked. I always ask the teen who they want to talk to first and have them be fully in the drivers seat.

Our 17+ year old shared that they are figuring out both their gender and sexual identity. I want to provide a therapist would be good for them to talk to about their journey and feelings. I think there are some things they don't want to tell us as parents. Any suggestions for a therapist or practice that is experienced in this area?
