Nothing. They gave me a gift when my child was born though.

Once I saw him in the bagel shop after my child was born and practically hugged him.

I loved my RE - and was honestly one of the best experiences I had with the medical profession in 20 years. I only had to go for about 6 months - but I did send a sonogram/update around 20 weeks and then sent them the birth announcement and one-year update. I paid the bills on time and didn't ask too many questions. I seriously picked out the RE because they were rich AF - if the office wants bagels/donuts/breakfast - the office can afford it. I always recommend them and did a public post/review somewhere. I also recommend them on this board all the time.

How thoughtful. I think sending a card with a sonogram picture and an announcement after the baby arrives + photo holiday cards in the future is very nice!

If your office and nursing team are good, sending some fruit, coffee, bagels etc. is always enjoyed.

No, didn't send anything and we graduated twice. I personally adored my Dr and the team, but it's weird to do more than share in the excitement. And at the graduation appointment, they asked if I knew where I'd be seen. If yes, they could forward any records internally. If outside of their system, they'd have the records ready for pick up.

Sent a birth announcement to the doctor. Anything before then would have made me nervous about “jinxing” things. And no, I’m not particularly superstitious. A gift basket at my clinic would have been super weird, but sounds like yours has a different vibe.

I see my RE at every monitoring appointment and most procedures ( eg unless he's on vacation). I have never seen any bagels/donuts arrive at the clinic. I did egg freezing 6 years ago, he helped me with my first kid and working now on number 2 ( and also helped with all my nibglings). I think heartfelt note is enough!

There was a chance on both Thanksgiving and Christmas that I would've had to go in for monitoring and if I did was planning to bring some treat for the staff to thank them for working on a holiday but otherwise think we pay the clinic plenty!

I wouldn’t know 99% of the staff at my clinic from Adam. It was always someone different at each monitoring appointment and procedure. I saw my actual RE a handful of times over several years and the last nurse we had was not great. I was glad to be out of the place.

One of the top hospital affiliated clinics in NYC. I honestly wish everyone had out experience - no matter the outcome. Feeling supported during this time has been such a gift. We probably wouldn't think twice about leaving if we were somewhere else.

And while a lot of ppl might describe our clinic as a factory we never once felt that way. Our Dr was the one who called with the big results every single time. She called many times on the weekend when we knew she wasn't on call and we weren't expecting it. The nurses were also fantastic. I have weird working hours and they made an effort to call me with results at a certain time instead of leaving a VM when I was at work. An order of bagels seems silly in comparison

We were at our IVF clinic for 6 years before having our only child. Our doctor was wonderful but the entire process was so demoralizing that we never went back after “graduation”. As for a thank you gift, they already had over 6 figures of our money.

We graduate in two weeks and I'm pretty nervous. We are beyond grateful to our Dr. What is an appropriate gift besides a card? Is it appropriate to ask for a photo with her/with the sono photos? We wanted to add to a baby book one day and show her the Dr who made her. For those that graduated do you send updates or holiday cards? We also saw some clinics have meet the baby days every year - do people ever bring their babies back to meet their doctors? As I type this I realize how weird this must sound haha but truly are just so thankful and we've been with same Dr for a few years now.

Also was your graduation appt different than a regular monitoring appt? Do they give you your files?
