People tend to send in bagel delivery or donuts and coffee for the staff. We just also wanted to get our RE something besides a heartfelt card of appreciation.
We have been at this for 4.5 years and got a ton of bumps but I'd never describe it as demoralizing. If anything out team, especially our Dr was out bright light during really hard news and results.
Do y'all like or see your Drs? My Dr has done every single monitoring appt herself minus a few I can count on one hand over the last 4.5 years. She's done every ER, polyp removal, saline sonogram and transfer herself, even came in on a weekend she was off to do my last one. We have great appreciation for this woman
Hell no this is nothing like my experience. What clinic are you at? This could be a regional thing
One of the top hospital affiliated clinics in NYC. I honestly wish everyone had out experience - no matter the outcome. Feeling supported during this time has been such a gift. We probably wouldn't think twice about leaving if we were somewhere else.
And while a lot of ppl might describe our clinic as a factory we never once felt that way. Our Dr was the one who called with the big results every single time. She called many times on the weekend when we knew she wasn't on call and we weren't expecting it. The nurses were also fantastic. I have weird working hours and they made an effort to call me with results at a certain time instead of leaving a VM when I was at work. An order of bagels seems silly in comparison
