Maybe your financial situation is different from when you underwent treatment. If you want to spend money, does the center have any sort of fund you can contribute to that goes toward other people receiving treatment who can't pay for it? Or can you make a donation to a related organization?

+1 I'd find it wasteful to get a trinket or cookies. Those don't feel thankful to me but a dedicated contribution or simply one good letter would really make me feel proud

I had a mental breakdown end of 2023 and went into a treatment center in 2024. I was there a week, received great care, and was doing well. After a week, my insurance company told the facility that they were going to deny the claim. While I did have to leave at that point, the facility didn’t make me pay for my week in treatment.

I’d like to do something as a thank you to the staff at the facility, especially the nurses and therapists, but also the cleaning staff and the cafeteria staff, who were kind to me as well.

I thought about sending bagels, but they get free meals and the food there is really good. I also thought that I’d I could find some good, interesting chocolates, that might be nice.

Any suggestions?
