We have been able to get into everything through my Mac, so I don't think you need it to be branded Chromebook to work.

No. The chromebook request form is meant for students who have no device at home. There are limited devices so please don't request one.

You don't need a chromebook if you have a regular laptop. You would need links and login info though.

My youngest's ES sent out a form to request Chromebooks in case of remote learning. My HS and MS students already have MCPS Chromebooks, and all three kids have Windows laptops.

I asked the elem teacher if we needed a Chromebook in this case, and she didn't know. I wouldn't want to request one if we don't need it and resources are limited.
