IMO, an agent establishes a fiduciary responsibility to you, to represent your best interest. However, and advisor, can state they will help you develop a "customized vacations" (same as can the agent, by the way) but then, if an error should occur, legally fall back on that they were simply advising you and not really working as your agent. I have been in the travel industry for 33 years, and I still feel that the term, travel agent fits me best, because, like a sport agent, talent agent, real-estate agent, I will work for the benefit of my client, and not shy away from terms that "loosen" my liability and responsibility to the client.
