Mismatched hardwoods, or hardwoods on the whole main floor but not the kitchen. Especially when you can tell the kitchen was recently renovated and they chose to do it it tile. I get wood is more expensive, but it looks so much better and if you already have it on the whole first level, in the long run it's easier to care for.

Bowl sinks. This was extremely popular for about a decade (like 2000-2010) especially in power rooms, but sometimes you find them even in master baths. I think they are hideous.

I prefer a shower stall to a tub.
Also, I want a small house with no stairs and no basement. A square, with a light well in the center, for maximum light.
Also a usable garage (currently in one of those tiny houses with ancient garage that can't accommodate a small sedan).

I guess I have to buy land and build one.

I hate it when the attached garage is the most prominent thing you see on the front of a house. It’s practical but ugly and doesn’t feel welcoming to me.

I hate it when there are bedrooms on a level of the house with no bathroom on the same level. We saw this a lot w older homes. There would be a bedroom on the 2nd floor but the closest bathroom was on the 1st floor or there’d be a bedroom in the basement that would be great to use for guests except there was no bathroom in the basement.

Opposite for me - I despise sinks smaller than farmhouse size and particularly despise sinks with double basins.

Grey floors. Pedestal sinks.

Palladian windows in bedrooms. Bedrooms are for sleeping, and any high up windows that are difficult to cover with blackout curtains or shades are stupid.

No walk in closets and carpet. Oh and I want my laundry room on the same floor as the bedrooms.

Bathtub on the first floor (reminds me of old people, IDK why)

A staircase when you first walk into the front door - it feels very confrontational and aggressive to me

Big hallways (I'd rather that square footage be in rooms)
Lack of closets

...with a walk-in closet but an attached bathroom with no tub. I don't care about, want or need a walk-in closet so all I see is wasted space that could have been used to give me a standalone tub if laid out better.
