There is a more detailed report available to teachers designed to assist with instruction planning. The teacher or counselor may be able to provide that. Interesting reading, but more than needed by parents unless, perhaps, a particular relative deficit is evidenced.

Use the 2020 norms and the mid-year option.

Full tables also at:

Again, be sure to use the table for the particular time of year (Winter, now) and find the percentile (left & right columms) by looking down the column representing your child's grade until you see their RIT score.

From the site hosting the tables, there's a reasonable explainer (careful about any conclusions they may present, however, such as expecting constant increases):

The NWEA.org site has more official information about MAP.

The percentiles should be on the score report, which will eventually show up in ParentVue under Documents. Otherwise, you’ll need to ask the teachers or the middle school counselor.

A score report will be posted in your parent vue account after the window closes and you can see it there. If you don't want to wait, the reading specialist at your school can pull the report for you.

We are very new to MCPS and have kids in elementary and middle school. In their first week of school both took respective Winter MAP tests today. How do I make sense of their scores and find out the associated percentiles?
