Condos in Irvine’s Woodbridge section are pushing up against a million. And they were all built in the 80s. Unreal.


Yep, and Irvine is inland - it's a 25-30 min drive to the beach. That said Irvine does have some of the best schools in CA so that is part of it. That said the surrounding areas are still untouchable.

My friend's 2 bd1 ba 928 sqft in OC is worth $550k, bought in 1996 for $87k.

My MoCo 4br/3ba 3200sq ft is worth $890k.

Hahaha no. 10 years ago my house in NoVA was worth ~$500k and my parents’ in Southern California was ~$700k. Spouse and I were talking about saving a bit more and moving out there. We missed the boat. Today, our house is worth ~$800k and theirs is around $2m for a s. shack. It has exploded in pricing.
