Yes. It caused me to have the most terrifying repetitive nightmares that would follow me well into the next day and leave me exhausted. It was horrible. I would never put my kid on it.

Made my then 10 year old collapse into bed crying. Missed school. Became despondent. Stopped the meds.

I had horrible insomnia and headaches.

The child of one of my family members reacted terribly to it. Threatened to kill their parents and siblings and was incredibly violent. They said it was if he was possessed, he wasn’t using his normal voice and was unresponsive while he was ranting and hitting them. The child was hospitalized for several days and in the hospital the doctors made the connection. The child is now an adult and never behaved that was again.

DC was prescribed this and within two weeks developed conspicuous facial tics. We stopped it, and it took four weeks for the tics to go away. It was presented to us as a safe, commonly prescribed medication for kids. So scary to see how it affected DC.

I have adult asthma, was prescribed this, immaculately had a panic attack the first time I used it. I threw it away.

I took this daily for years for my asthma before I realized that it was contributing to my anxiety issues. My doctor also didn’t see the connection, since the warnings were all geared towards minors, and I was on the medication throughout my 30s and into my early 40s.
I took myself off of it about a year ago (my asthma is now well managed with another prescription) and can tell a difference. I still have some low-level anxiety, but the frequent feelings of rage over the tiniest things have gone away. I swear there’s a connection, regardless of what my doctor believes.

DD and DS were on it for reactive airways and we pulled them off when the black box warnings were shared with us. Both have really struggled with allergies since.

I can’t read the article but I was prescribed this drug and it gave me vivid, insane nightmares. Like night terrors with monsters and orgies and stuff - scared the crap out of me about 10 years ago. Took me a few nights to realize it was the meds and never took that devil pill again even if I could breathe much easier with my horrid allergies. The FDA needs to regulate these medications better.

Wow. It helped my allergies like nothing else.

I had severe anxiety when I took this drug in the early 2000s. I took myself off of it even though my doctor at the time didn’t think it was on connected. Recently an urgent care doc suggested putting my kid on it and I was like “nope”.
