Next time please stop at my door and take my dog for a jog. I'll leave the door unlocked. Thanks!

I was one of those people - my dog gave me no choice. She needs her run but she HATES rain.

Ha thanks, that was me at 6:45! I was kind of surprised actually at how few people were out. Didn’t seem that early although definitely earlier than I usually go out.

Well, some of us have dogs, OP
We're out in all weather, and when they're puppies, any hour of the day or night.

Well, I'm going right now, with the dog. Cold. wet. yuck. Anyway, we have hot water outside on the hose and it's a quick bath for the dog and then a hot shower for me. I'm fat and can't take a day off.

Running in cold rain doesn’t confer any fitness benefit and is miserable. The same is true of running heat and humidity unless you are looking to acclimate for an event.

Did you eat rocks for lunch and walk both ways uphill to school?

I run with the dog and he hates the rain and is impossible to dry off. Me, I'm easy. But he can't just hop in the shower.

Are you a runner? Something tells me that you're not.

Running in a warm summer rain is delightful. A cool drizzle is also fine. But running in a cold moderate or downpour rain? That's miserable and bone chilling.

Yeah I would rather wake up early than run in a monsoon with high winds.

I don’t mind running in a light rain, but hard rain, with or without high winds—no, thank you.

Did you also remind the teacher on Friday that they forgot to give homework.

There were clearly a lot of people at zero-dark-thirty, whom I'd never seen before, and were trying to beat the rain. High five, and great job for getting it done earlier than you would normally! You guys are definitely going to achieve your fitness goals this year. I'm proud of you for getting out there early!

For those of you that plan to run at your normal time, in the rain - well you're in a superior league.
