Is this the free Khan Academy or something you pay for?

I know this doesn't help OP, but this is why my kid prepped in the summer before junior year and then took the test in the fall before classes really ramped up.

He has a friend who prep for 6 months and could never get the math section to work for him. He applied TO ED to Davidson and got in, so, yes, some schools are test optional, but probably being ED also helps.

Why are there only 4 full length dSAT practice tests available? All the prep says to do practice tests but if you need to take it more than once, you'll need more tests!!

I have a super busy kid, too. We are aiming for a 1200-1300. He got an 1100 on the PSAT. He just started test prep 1x a week on Sundays.

Hoping he’ll be one and done in March.

Good time management. No community service or extra clubs this year - just sports, school, social life, drivers’ Ed and test prep (2x/week for 2 hours in the evenings).

Well, that's a pretty decent score so good for him. I doubt that is going to work for a lot of kids, however.

I just chose another route for my DS. He got into every school he applied to w/o test scores but he didn't apply to super competitive schools. You have to decide if all of this is worth it.

That's proving the hard part. . . . DC is a bit introverted and anxious so needs some downtime/friend time. Because of classes/HW and sports (as well as another academic extracurricular), it's going to be that downtime that goes and I'm worried about that. . . .

My juniors twins do 2 hours of Prep each Saturday--9-11am.
Prior to this they took Saturday's off from any homework. Their varsity sports do not meet on saturday mornings.

I don’t know. The worst is this junior class has the first digital SAT test. Pick the date that works best for your kid and their sport. Then plan a few hours each week for two months prior to.

Seriously . . . . how did your kids do this. My junior is a competitive athlete, competing year round. Has a TON of homework (all honors/AP classes, and hard ones too). Does some other clubs and community service. Plus, these kids need some down time/friend time.

I do not know how DC is going to find the time to study, much less take any sort of prep class. I know lots of schools are TO but . . . are they really? And some are not.

So how did your kids do this? It's adding an unreasonable amount of stress even trying small times to study. DC would be aiming for the 1450-1500 for the schools that are not TO.
