I think the county board appoints them. Nancy Van Doren was appointed to the board to fill out the term of a board member who resigned.

Unfortunately, the two opening seats aren't a big loss, so it wouldn't take much to at least match if we can't improve the quality of members. Sadly, there are many who don't even measure up to that level. Remember that guy who ran against MT?
