Am doing about 120sf of stairs including 10x10 patio on existing concrete risers. Treads will be 2” thick, bluestone. Was quoted 10K.

Could you please share what's a reasonable per sq ft cost for a patio, stone patio for example? I got a quote for $44 per sq ft which seems high. This is in Fairfax. TIA.

We did a 13 by 25 stone patio with two sets of steps, an outdoor wall type gas (with the line put in) fireplace and outdoor stone kitchen (gas line hooked to built in grill). It was about 40K.

This was last year when demand was still pretty high for labor. There is probably more room to negotiate now. Material prices are still high but not crazy and less shortages, labor prices are not crazy anymore.

Did this recently, about 11x30. Stamped concrete. $10k, included removing an existing smaller concrete slab.

Wondering what folks who installed a new patio since Covid have paid for the work in the DMV area. What materials (i.e., paver/stamped concrete/etc.) did you use? Did you have any special features like a fireplace or gabled cover?

Just wanting to get a feel for cost as we look to set up some quotes. Thank you!
