New to the school isn’t really relevant bc they don’t pull in the 1st grade teacher for input anyway. Everyone in your child’s class who is submitting a packet has the same challenges. If your child is rejected, you’ll be able to submit an appeal and you can see what was left out of packet.

Around mid to late January teachers will meet with the AART. They will complete the rating scale together. No one is off in isolation completing this.

Our forms were completed by a committee at the school that included the VP, AART, 2nd grade teacher, and librarian. Each school may be different, so ask the AART if you want insight for some reason, but it should be apparent on the package after the fact when you request it.

They are typically sent by the school around mid-Feb. I’d ask your AART but I’d bet sub and AART will be doing HOPE, selecting work samples etc. for your child’s class.
