NP, I love Tea Tree Tingle conditioner. I use the shampoo only once in a while because it feels like a clarifying shampoo and I’m concerned about using it too often and stripping my hair of natural oils [my hair is not chemically treated]. I think Trader Joe’s also sells other brands, like something with “Spa” in it.
I’m older and my hair is now dry. It now has wave but I don’t consider myself to have wavy hair because it was always straight when I was younger.
I was curly girl-curious for awhile but decided I did not want to put all that product in my hair. Also, it would take a lot of effort (and product) to really bring out the wave and I just feel messy-looking with my hair wavy (maybe that is a frizz issue). After years of having straight hair, the desire to brush is strong in me.
For shampoo, I use bar shampoo from Chagrin Valley. Back in by curly-curious days, I looked for shampoos with no ‘cones and no sulfates or something and ended up at the Chagrin Valley website. I’ve been pretty happy with their stuff - lots of options, I tend to use the henna bar [so maybe that means my hair technically is chemically treated because it definitely has an effect on the color] but there are some that are much more moisturizing bars available.
