Did they actually screen/vet registrants and ask if they were at the MLSNext/NAL/ECNL/EDP1 level?

There are rules against doing this. That is why most every camp you see will add a disclaimer that reads something like, "Limited by numbers and age only...open to all levels". There's a socioeconomics component. When you say that a kid has to play in a certain set of leagues, you squeeze out the kids you can't afford high level travel soccer. Not debating what the best approach is. Just simply saying that per guidelines of USYS, etc. you can let people know what level it is intended for, but you can't restrict participation based on that.

On the other hand, how do you hold a high end camp with top players?

And also usys doesn't control every camp, so possibly it doesn't fall under those guidelines or umbrella. Just curious.

BSC camps are shoddy at best, good for the little but a money grab after. I would assume this is no different

I think it's mostly marketing and will be similar to previous training sessions. How can it be limited to 1st bracket players if they are emailing every person that has ever been associated with them? How will they vet only top players? And if 100 4th team players have money waiting to pay, you think they will turn them away? Doubt it.

For BSC folks or anyone in the know, has BSC hosted similar camps in the past and based on the expected coaches, have they been pretty good? I mean it’s limited to MLSNext/NAL/ECNL/EDP1 players so that in itself seems to make for a more competitive than usual summer camp group, no?

Thanks!

I think it's the first year, so not sure what to make of it.
