Just here to say I was shocked by who won in this latest season. Did not see that coming, though the person did get better as the season progressed. I had my favorite (who I also thought was the best, or one of the best) and was surprised when eliminated.

Sometimes I feel like the star baker and the decision who is sent home is not judged on the bakes of the week but on other factors (like, maybe someone had a bad couple of weeks and they just felt it was time to take them out of contention). But, it is one of my fave shows, still.

They are supposed to wear the same clothes. They bring multiple same shirts to wear throughout the competition.

My friend was on GBBO! Challenges one and two are filmed on Saturdays and the Showstopper is on Sundays. (Except during the pandemic when they compressed it all). They make them wear the same clothes for continuity for viewers, so that it’s easier for viewers to recognise them and remember who is who, especially at the beginning. Clothes are washed on-site by the team after filming on Saturday.

I hadn’t caught that, but yeah - they film two days, over a weekend.

Two days - and I think they make them wear the same clothes back day because they do some sneaky edits/they do interviews that get plugged in asynchronously.

On GBBS, they try to make it seem that the signature bake and technical challenge happen on one day and the showstopper happens the day after. For example, the hosts say “good morning” to the bakers at the beginning of the showstopper. But the bakers are always wearing the same clothes for all three bakes. Are they wearing the same clothes two days in a row, and if so, why don’t the let the bakers change clothes on day 2, especially since they are usually covered in flour, are sweaty etc. Or if it is all taped in a single day, why do they try to make it seem like two days? This is so unimportant but has been bugging me for multiple seasons.
