But I am starting with a concierge doc in a couple of weeks and it is going to be a conversation. (Not because I want to bring it up out of semaglutide fomo, but because my bmi is 34 and I'm having serious problems as a result of severe sleep apnea and a family hist of heart disease and she mentioned it was at the top of her list to discuss at our first appt).

Wow, you are posting all over DCUM about your “concierge doc.”

Two posts where it was relevant is hardly "all over DCUM." And people keep asking about it? So?

Why are you so triggered, lol?

I found they made me lazy about my diet knowing I could lose without trying, but I didn't really have many side effects. Maybe if my insurance company covered it, I'd feel differently.

I don’t think this is most people’s experience. Most people don’t go on these drugs, eat whatever they want in whatever quantity, and still lose weight. It seems more common that people naturally eat less, and have to think hard about what they’re eating to make sure they get enough nutrients, or that the diet they were on actually starts to work.

saxenda starting in June. Had modesf (5 lbs weight loss) until Sept, when Saxenda became impossible to find. Doctor then transitioned me to 2.4 dose of Wegovy, which has been widely available, and I’ve lost 30 lbs since then with no side effects.

I’m on Ozempic. Lost 40lbs with zero effort on the lowest dose but with considerable side effects. The rest of the weight will be harder but not, I hope, impossible. It’s been a life changer.

Saxenda. I was initially prescribed Wegovy but couldn't find it anywhere.

What weight loss drugs are you using, if you're using them?
