+1 I'm sorry, OP. My elderly father just had COVID and, honestly, seems to have deteriorated a great deal since then (physically and mentally). People who are angry about restrictions feel that elderly people are expendable, and that hurts, as does the fear of losing a loved one.

The staff and visitors should be masking. Many patients cannot mask.

I see a lot of hospital staff not masking around patients.

My MIL got Covid twice at her assisted living complex. This strain is highly contagious and mostpeople are not masking, isolating appropriately or keeping their distance in enclosed spaces. I’m sorry about your dad, OP. Mine caught a fatal respiratory infection in the hospital.

Hospitals are filthy and covid spread there is insane.

It's a well-known fact, OP, that hospital are germ fests. I'm very sorry about your father. Is he on Paxlovid?

Hospitals are full of germs, all kinds. Everyone knows that. Hope he gets better soon.

Honestly this is so common. The hospitals are filled with people who have Covid and everyone knows hospitals are high risk spaces for Covid and any other contagious illness. I hope he recovers and I’m sorry for your need to worry.
