Moved on in 2022 from some friendships that weren’t working. Some keeping up with the Joneses controlling types. Best decision ever.

Same, in 2023. I’m so much happier.

I felt this way a couple of years ago and let a few friendships drop. I also stopped accepting invitations out of obligation. Best decision ever. I’m much happier and more engaged when we do get together with the friends that we still see. It also opened up capacity for a couple new friendships.

It’s okay to edit your friend list.

My husband pushed me on getting together with people so he/we aren’t looked upon as total losers with no plans…

Who is doing the looking and declaring you losers?

Do your friends have to be couples?

Maybe just one - we’re good 1:1 but when others are around, she has a tendency to put me down. She also does it to her husband.

How many times did you see these friends over the holidays?

Holidays and New Years just pushed me over. I’m sure they are sick if us too. Hard to meet new couples as friends.
