+2. Also, even though we have a dining room, we use the breakfast nook almost exclusively for eating.

You can just build shelving for use against a bay window. Just hire a contractor.

We use the below part as shelving - cookbooks and trivets, and appliances in the cabinet that don't get used often like food processor. We use the top for both plants, and displaying cards.
