I am clueless what to do next. Any suggestions?
Ask doctor if she can take Mucinex. We all had this, and it lasted 6-8 weeks for the adults, and mucinex helped - but not sure if kids can take it. Our kids were less affected, it was 4-5 weeks but they were not as uncomfortable as you're describing.
If she can't take it, ask doctor what is equivalent.
But you may just have to ride it out. Suggestions: steamy showers or baths, let her sit in there with the fan off for 10 mins so the steam can open stuff up. Humidifier for her room. Cough drops. Hot tea, especially with ginger (Twinings lemon/ginger works well for me when I am sick) and yes, mix in the honey. And, time.
