I wouldn’t give a flying flip about her so-called “mental health” when she is destroying her physical health in this way.

It’s so addictive. I’m sorry!

I mean ... this is how high school is now. The "popular" kids hang out in the bathrooms, vaping. Normal kids can't or won't even go in there. Sometimes I see kids I knew when they were little and they look like wasted 40-year-olds. It is really taking a toll.

You don’t need a doctor, you need a drugdog.

I'm so sorry. You're not alone. One of my kids was a pretty heavy user. We had our heads in the sand for a while.

It's an absolute epidemic. My DC seems to have tapered off a bit ... maybe because he can't afford it? We just keep trying to convey how terrible it is for them. I do wonder if your daughter's lingering illnesses will spark a realization that she's harming her health.

Do you think she’ll learn from this situation herself?

Vaping —> painful and ugly sore

Quitting vaping —> better

Don’t underestimate kids ability to learn stuff.

I feel like.. when I point stuff out to my dd, she doesn’t learn the lesson. She’ll object and make excuses. Plenty of times if I back off, she learns.

Someone sent me screenshots of her on a social media account talking about how they are constantly vaping.

What did you do about it?

Child is almost an adult. I feel pretty powerless here. Stopped allowance. At the very least I’m not paying for this.

How did you find out? What is she vaping? Did you test for all d rugs?

Is it that nobody (you, school, docs) asked her? Or that y'all asked if she was smoking/vaping and she lied?

You let her miss school so she could sit at home and vape, that’s hilarious!

Teenager has had persistent cold/sore throat/sinus/ear infection drama for almost a month and a half. We’ve had 5 doctor appointments about this. Missed a lot of school. Pediatrician, urgent care, ENT. I find out today that she has been heavily vaping this whole time. Husband suspected it but I buried my head in the sand because I didn’t have proof and wanted to hope for the best. Now I’m irate. Mostly at myself for being so stupid.
