6th grade AAP students take it in Jan/feb to determine if they’ll take algebra in 7th grade.

It varies from school to school, but usually it is around January/February.

That's interesting. Mine had 58/60 a few years ago, and was also 98th percentile. I can't swear to this now, but IIRC, DD's friend that had 10 wrong fell outside the cutoff; was 88 or 86th percentile.

Right but approximately how many wrong is that usually? Close to perfect? 1-2 wrong per section? I understand it can vary...

It's not a flat percentage, it is a percentile. They have to score better than 91% of the other test takers.
