Kid asked if they would waive app fee, and they did, so applied. Got great merit aid (no css, and fafsa not available yet, so don't know about need).
I did worry that most kids would be NY regional and that college may not be the best off financially, but it might have been a consideration, especially if kid wanted LAC. (Kid got into ED reach).
Our DCs attended one of the Hill independents near Manhattan College so drove by/through many times over the years. Great location a few blocks from the 1 line if a student wants to be in/near Manhattan but Columbia/NYU not an option. Lots of restaurants and bars for students.
Agree with PP that the student body may be heavy on metro NYC. Have also heard that the finances are not so strong, including the college shedding a dorm recently.
