Oh we do have a few solid color things from Primary as well. I don’t care what they throw together.

this is funny to me because I think my son looks great when he clothes dont match- its literally the only time in his life that it will look cute and not unkempt. he has a better sense of style than I do. he picks out what color shoes he wants and when I shop for him, I put all the items in the cart and then we go through the cart together and he says whether he likes it or not.

let it go OP. as long as they are dressing appropriately for the weather and the situation then it is OK. if its a formal event, then you cant put more restricitions but if its just school as long as they have appropriate clothing, close-toe shoes, and jacket they are good!

Yes. Make 2024 the year you focus on building your own self-esteem.

I have a 20 yo and 16 yo. I promise they do not dress like this anymore. But let the ridiculous outfits go. Agree no holes or stains unless playing in the yard, but otherwise this is not the hill you want to die on.

So long as they are clean, let the rest go

Worrying about whether or not a first graders clothes match is lunacy.

Take lots of photos to show their future spouses and children and laugh about.

maybe pair down their outfits so it matches a bit more? just by using less colors for examples, and putting away character shirts for weekend wear, etc. And point out when do look good, like say "you look so handsome!", etc. I do think it is parents responsibility to instill good taste even if the kids choose to ignore it most of the time.

No need to deal with this because there is no problem. Stop comparing your kids to other kids though. You’ll drive yourself crazy.

Let it go and let them wear what they want.
