It’s a player. You insert cards and it plays what’s on the cards. There are book cards or music cards. Son is currently listening to Charlie and the chocolate factory and my youngest likes the music. There are podcasts you can listen to also.

So you can’t download stuff yourself to it or hook it up to Spotify, for example?


I’m not this poster but I was looking into purchasing it. You can buy blank cards to load your own music , like if you were making someone a mixtape but you can’t stream anything.

A surprise hit are these magic arm rings that were a stocking stuffer. Even adults wanted to try it when the kids brought them to a family gathering. Both kids 8 and 10 love them.

The biggest hits for our kids were books. Age 9 and 11, so prime reading age, and many different interests.

My kids (ages 7 and 10) got the e-ink Kindles and have had their noses buried in books for two days. They love that there is a huge Kindle library plus everything online from our library. They're the unexpected hit of the year.

2 things that have been a hit with all age groups is the Zipstring and a cheap wooden game from Target where you try to flip a ball
through a paddle hole for the most points!

8YO - fancy post its. He likes to leave himself notes and has already opened and started using them (on today’s list: play video games, hang with friend, watch movie. Lol)

Curious to know what's been a hit so far! We're always looking for ideas.

DS5 - Underwater Camera. It was a $30 cheaper version of a GoPro and he loves it.

DD8 - Gravitrax starter set. She's been building all day and is already asking for expansion kits for her birthday. I think I got the idea from another post on DCUM about ideas for kids that like to build but have moved past magnatiles and Legos.
