This is essentially where I am. All last week, DD was up until 1:30 or 2:00. Starting yesterday, she went to bed at midnight. It'll slide towards going to bed by 10:00, by next Monday. That's all I really care about.

Let them sleep. It promotes growth.

Same. Mine are 15 and 13. That said, if we need to be somewhere they are of course expected to get up when asked, and they do.

Why do they need to be up at 9:30? Your senior will be away at college in a few months and can sleep as late as they please on the weekends.

WiFi shuts off to their devices at 10, phone stays in kitchen for the night. They are always up at 9 at the lastest. I’d wake them up by 10 if they weren’t. Sleeping past 10 is just plan slothful.

Phone confiscated at 10pm

I don't manage my 14yo's schedule just for the sake of managing it during breaks like this. If he wants to game until 3 and sleep until 1 then whatever.

He has basketball practice starting this week though so he will have to think twice about that schedule.

Mine goes to sleep at 9:30 on weekdays and gets up at 6:30.

On weekends he is up until 10:30 or so and still sleeps until 11-12. I think it’s just not enough sleep during the week. No electronic devices in his room.

This. My teens go to sleep around 11pm/midnight and wake up no later than 10am. They don't have electronics in their bedrooms.

I know teens need sleep. How do parents manage their schedule during holidays when teens wake up at 1-2 pm?
