My husband off hand remarked that my accomplishments are for the most part due to luck vs my efforts. Wow.

Years ago I was jealous of my husbands professional success as I made career trade offs as a mother. But I got over it as my kids did well and we live a very good life. It’s helped that my husband has never referred to our money as his.

Yes, unless both spouses are truly best friends and want the best for each other it is common for one spouse to be jealous of another. It's the sad truth. But, remember most marriages are not perfect. There's always underlying animosity.

OP I have been jealous of my husband. I gave up prospects of my dream job to stay home with kids, and then my husband got the dream job! I got over it quick though. And then I saw more of him doing his job and now I know that I wouldn’t have been good at it anyway.

What do you mean by possible? Seems a strange question. Of course. People get jealous of all kinds of things. The fact you asked makes me wonder if the jealousy is something unusual, controlling or worse, though. If the jealousy translates to controlling your behavior, choice of friends, choice of clothing etc. you have a serious issue going on. We need more info to help, OP, question is too vague.

Post title says it all. Is jealousy in a marriage possible? If so, would you say it’s rare?
