Well, I'm jewish, so I rarely am. But this year was extra depressing because this was the first year of going to a relative's house where they had no hanukah decorations visible from the street, and that I had to put all my gifts in brown paper bags so nobody on the train would be able to see the hanukah wrapping paper.
This was the first year my office didn't put up any hanukah decorations at ALL.
One of the idiot HR people insisted on a mandatory lunch for all admin in the office this past week. I claimed a dr appt because there was no way I was going to be in an enclosed room with 50 people without a mask. They only canceled it the day before after four different people announced they had Covid. So she switched it to an online coffee and chat thing, which she implied was mandatory but then just asked people to go around announcing their favorite Christmas decoration in their home and favorite Christmas food they'll be having. I left the chat.
