I wear my dailies for at least a week, every single one. I've been doing it for many years. Never had an eye infection. If they start getting blurry or the edges get ragged I put in a new one. I always take them out when I sleep and put them in saline solution.

No, my girlfriend almost lost her site from improper contact use. The infections move fast.

I hate to think how many times my son has done this.

It’s not fine but not because of infection, primarily; I assume you’d make some token gesture toward sanitation.

The daily disposables are made of far less robust material than other types. The edges degrade—you will be able to see that they become ragged and it will hurt like you’re putting cornflakes in your eyes.

I’d plan to wear glasses if you need them.

Probably okay just wash your hands very well. Next time overpack the number you'll need. Never only pack the exact number you need. I always take an extra "strip" of each eye with me.

Good grief, of course it's fine. Just wash your hands before putting in or taking out and clean them if you can. I can't tell you how many times I've done this (contact lens wearer for 40+ years). Usually because I run out and forgot to order more

I have, on a trip where I just wore the dailies for a short part of the day, like when half day skiing. I put them on right before the activity and took them out and into disinfecting solution right afterwards.

They are more flimsy than longer wearing ones, so sometimes they would tear or become mishaped and could not be reused.

I also used to wear contacts for daily swimming and once asked my eye doctor if I could reuse since I was only wearing them for about an hour at a time. He recommended against doing that. I got prescription goggles instead. They're pretty cheap if your prescription matches. I had -3 in ones eye and -3.5 in the other and doctor said it was okay to wear -3 for both. That might be an option for you.

I recently ran out of my dailies when there was a problem with shipping the new batch. I require a few pairs once and put them in saline overnight. It was fine and I have fairly dry eyes.

I’ve never used dailies but I’ve sometimes used My monthly lenses for far more than a month. Never an infection. Just rinse well. One day will be fine.

It’s a bit hard to swim and go on a boat while wearing glasses and I am literally blind without them.

I don’t understand why dailies are more likely to cause ingestion vs monthlies which I used to wear and simply cleaned with solution.

Has anyone ever reused daily contact lenses for one extra day?

Currently on vacation and totally messed up on how many pairs I brought. I do have glasses but am with my kids in the pool/beach so not a great solution to wear those.

I do have a case and solution with me so could reuse a couple pairs for an extra day each. Is this horrible?

I can’t see without my lenses so not an option to go without something.
