Other than bleaching products - this is one developed by a friend from grad school, just invested in by Shisedo (big Japanese cosmetics brand). It uses phage technology specific to acne (kills p. Acnes). My son and I both use it and it works!

Practice has a new "clean" line that I've looked at for my kid. Haven't jumped for it yet, but it does look promising -- and gentle.

I would probably try the CeraVe acne control products at first. I’m not sure if ProActiv has changed but my dermatologist said not to use it because the physical exfoliants in the cleanser weren’t good for the face but this was many years ago.

Go with the ProActiv. Their original 3 step program products

Thinking of trying ProActiv for my DD. I would consider her acne normal/typical but she would like to try something on it. Until now she has just used Cetaphil products.

Any other suggestions?
