haha, yeah those never come out right if you buy them or if you try to make them yourself in a dehydrator or even a freeze dryer.

Two recipes -
Tea - Grind it into a powder (or paste - depending upon how drhyderated it is), boil with water like tea, strain it, pour some fresh orange juice in it and enjoy a nice warm tea with an amazing burst of orange flavor which is full of vitamin c..

Beauty mask - Grind it into a powder/paste, make a paste with some rice water, use it as a mask all over your face and body. Let it dry then spray with some water mixed with with Moroccan orange water in it. When the mask rehydrates, rub with your fingers to roll it off your skin. Instant glowing and exfoliated skin.

Cocktails and tea.

Also I bet you could place on top of unbaked pound cake, lemon loaf, similar cakes- arrange the slices in a pleasing pattern on top of the unbaked cake and sprinkle with sugar before baking.

I found a recipe with half of the orange slice dipped and dried with dark chocolate. I haven’t tried it, but it sounds delicious, looks beautiful, and I cannot wait to try it!

Try a quarter slice in hot chocolate. I use a drop of orange extract in mine but the slices might be wonderful for that

I was coming to see what PP said many people are using them in Garland this year. You can use the cheap, fake garland, thin strand. Some dried oranges through it, and it gives it a little oomph.

Bloggers are decorating their trees with them this year.

We received a box of dried fruit as a gift. Our friends very thoughtfully included dried orange slices for me, since I can’t eat peaches, plums, or apricots.
But they have almost no flavor! It is just oranges with no sugar. I simmered a few in water with a little sugar in it, which helps a bit, but they’re still not very interesting. I’m looking online for recipes that use dried orange slices, but don’t find anything except using them as decoration for cocktails or cakes. I have too many for that.
Any suggestions? I would love to put them to good use.
