Our high school results in Naviance are all over the place for T20s - I think mostly due to athletic recruits so it has really hard to figure out “realistic” reaches/ high targets.
Also keep in mind that the school might require a minimum number to report. For example, nothing gets reported on our Naviance instance until there’s an n of 5; this applies to applications and acceptances. So you might see 20 applications but no acceptances to an Ivy because only a couple of kids get in. Or you might see a school where it looks like no one has applied certain years, but that’s because fewer than five kids applied in those years. Etc.
Naviance is useful only in the broadest strokes, in my experience. It’s not helpful for the sort of decision you’re describing.
