Chesterfield and Henrico Counties are off 11 days starting today through January 5.

Howard County has the shortest (6 weekday) break. Fairfax County and Falls Church went with the earliest and longest (11 weekday) break. Arlington, Loudoun, Prince William Counties have Dec 21-Jan 1 (8 weekdays) while Richmond gets out today and is off until January 8 (10 weekdays).

The dates were applying to this year it's only a heads up that the two 2 week options will turn into one for next year
(actually the next 3 years until Christmas gets back to Saturday in 2027-28)

We have C, and it’s good. My next choice would be D, although my kids would hate it.

If we had to go longer, I would prefer B so we could do something after the craziness of Christmas with family when travel prices are cheaper.

We have C and I like it.

I would hate A because I find that everyone relaxes more after Christmas. No more excitement about Santa or gifts, everyone has something new to read and cozy things to wear and we usually have a new game or two to play. Pre-Christmas is fun too, we bake and cook and do activities out if the house. But I don't want 7 days of that. I want to get to laying around listening to music and relaxing, and that's always an easier sell after Christmas.

A. Early Two weeks (December 18-January 1)
B. Later Two weeks (December 25-January 5)
C. Moderate winter break (December 21 or 22-January 1 or 2)
D. Short winter break (December 25-January 1)

Note: Next year Christmas and New Years Day are on Wednesdays so all two week breaks will be the same two weeks.
